AMERICAN POULTRY INTERNATIONAL, LTD., an export trade association engaged in selling and shipping frozen poultry products from the U.S.A. to purchasers in foreign nations, has been based in Jackson, Mississippi U.S.A. since its inception in 1970 - surrounded by states that produce and process the majority of chicken in the United States and close in proximity to major U.S. ports that specialize in dockside warehousing and the loading of refrigerated cargo vessels that carry frozen poultry for export.

    API's international trade expertise is such that we now virtually cover the world with a diversified family of products and services.

    Since our inception, API has exported American-produced chicken and other meat and fish products to dozens of foreign markets.  In the process, we instituted several trends in the poultry export business.  And with this extensive knowledge, several years ago we opened API's domestic trading division.

    We were the first to introduce American chicken leg quarters to the former Soviet Union.  We were the first to bring chicken franks to that vast market.  And we were the first to market dark meat chicken parts to the Middle East.  And, now, we are experiencing another first for API with the debut of our domestic trading program.
